Home Cinema Lighting is an informational and project-enquiry resource. This notice explains how information shared in an enquiry or resulting correspondence is handled.

Depending on what you choose to send, an enquiry may include your name, email address, telephone number, location, company or project-team details, room and project information, equipment preferences, plans, drawings, photographs and correspondence.
2. Email-based project enquiries
The current website does not transmit or store a completed enquiry form. Project-enquiry buttons prepare an email addressed to lighting@homecinemalighting.co.za in your own email application. Information is processed only when you choose to send that email, after which it is handled as ordinary business correspondence.
3. How information is used
Information is used to assess and respond to your enquiry, understand the room and project, recommend an appropriate next step, prepare or discuss a quotation or service, manage resulting correspondence and maintain legitimate project and business records. An enquiry does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing.
4. Service providers and project participants
Website hosting, email, security, backup and communication providers may process limited information on our behalf. Information may also be shared with architects, interior designers, cinema specialists, installers, electricians, manufacturers, distributors or other project participants when you request this or when it is reasonably necessary to assess or progress the enquiry. We do not sell personal information.
5. Consultation booking and external websites
Paid consultation booking and payment take place on HomeCinemaStore.co.za. Information submitted there is governed by the Home Cinema Store Privacy/POPIA Policy and related transaction terms. Manufacturer and other external websites control their own privacy practices.
6. Retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably required for the enquiry, quotation, project, service, warranty, dispute-resolution and legitimate record-keeping purposes, or where retention is required by applicable law. Information no longer required will be deleted, destroyed or de-identified where reasonably practicable.
7. Security
Reasonable organisational and technical measures are used to protect information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. No internet transmission, email service or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please do not send payment-card details by ordinary email.
8. Analytics, cookies and technical logs
This launch package does not include advertising trackers, third-party analytics or optional marketing cookies. The hosting provider or content-delivery and security services may process standard technical logs such as IP address, browser details, timestamps and requested pages for delivery, diagnostics and security. This notice must be updated before optional analytics or advertising technologies are introduced.
9. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether information about you is held, request access to or correction of it, object to certain processing, or request deletion where there is no lawful reason to retain it. To make a request or ask a privacy question, email lighting@homecinemalighting.co.za. You may also contact or lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator South Africa.
10. Changes
This notice may be updated if the enquiry process, service providers or applicable requirements change. The current version and its update date will be published on this page.
